Zumba Strength

As you all already know… I’m on the mission of my lifetime: to be 24 minus 94 by June 12th, 2011! Hard work, and two-a-days should help me get there! Brand new me on my birthday… what better way to celebrate! and trust me… what a celebration it will be!

Tried Zumba and Club Strength this weekend, and had to review for you guys!

I’ll start with the least ‘actual workout’ one, Zumba. It could have been the instructor, or me, but a challenge? Not so much. This class, at this gym, is def for fun- while I did work up a sweat, and it was something different- I didn’t feel anything from it. As per NYSC,

“Zumba is a fusion of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps to the tune of Latin and International music. The routine features aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning…” YEAH, right.

I danced my ass off, but felt like a loser amongst a sea of non-coordinated 40+ women…not the sexy sexy time workout time I was hoping for! Two… thumbs… DOWN.

Sunday, I took Club Strength, which is pretty…. AWESOME- basically runs through all the exercises you can do on the gym floor on your own- but just a bit more high-intesity.  How I felt when I left Club Strength? Yea… just kill me:

NYSC re Club Strength, “We’ve brought the fitness floor into the studio. This total body workout utilizes barbells and weight plates and is suitable for all fitness levels.” AH MAY ZING. Must try, really!

Don’t tell, but I’m think of recording it next time and uploading to my ipod!! It was an AMAZING workout.
