I had the awesome opp to get a FREE Sneak Preview Screening of Limitless, the new movie with the hot Bradley Cooper and legend Robert De Niro, courtesy of the Center for Communication, Relativity Media and NYIT’s Dept. of Communications, at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway.
Synopsis: “…paranoia-fueled action thriller about an unsuccessful writer whose life is transformed by top-secret “smart drug” that allows him to use 100% of his brain and tap into his full potential. Eddie (Bradley Cooper) can suddenly remember everything he has ever read, seen, or heard; learn any language in a day; comprehend complex equations and beguile everyone he meets—as long as he keeps taking the untested drug.
Soon Eddie takes Wall Street by storm and makes multi-millions. He attracts mega-mogul Carl Van Loon (De Niro), who invites him to help broker the largest merger in corporate history. But things turn take a sinister turn when Eddie’s life is in jeopardy as the drug’s side effects take their toll, and he’s dodging mysterious stalkers, a vicious gangster, and the police.”
REDIC… to say the least.
The transformation:
Aside from a couple of corny scenes… which will stick out like a sore thumb for you as well– the movie is a hell of a thriller. Really making you think about the potential your brain has, 80% goes unused? WHY? We should be able to use a healthy balance like 50-60%! Also a scary scary insider into the life of corrupt government officials, wall-streeters, drug lords and the kind of money that makes it all go round.
As you’ll learn, too much of anything is bad for you- but then the movie takes a turn you really won’t expect! Def worth watching- just try not to laugh too hard at the “corny moments”.
