In lieu of a closed 238th Stop on the 1 Train (thank you MTA for the inconvenience), I discovered a new little secret on the corner of 231st and Broadway up in Kingsbridge- an older gentlemen selling books, vintage, classics and pretty recent magazines. Awesome pricing too, a bargain to say the least!
Magazines: 2/$1, or $.50 each
Books: 3/$5 or $2 each
Can’t go wrong REALLY- especially with the mags; perfect if you didn’t grab a book to read on your 40 mins commute. I got the newest Forbes with Bethenny on the cover, and picked up an aged French book for my mama.
So if you’re ever in the area, stop by!! I’m sure you’ll find a diamond in the rough for your reading pleasure! *Not sure how long he stays out- but so far he’s been there early AM.
