All hail British Olympic weightlifter @ZoePabloSmith for standing up to stupid close-minded “men” who think women who weight lift all look like this,
and act obnoxiousness like this:
NEWS FLASH: A. that’s not true and B. all women are beautiful in their own way.
What you find attractive, or not, is no ones problem but your own. Women that make weightlifting a lifestyle are no different from women who choose to keep on extra pounds, or women who choose to tattoo and pierce themselves all over.
So Zoe Smith spoke up to a bunch of tweeting-dbags (pardon my language) that “in so many words, called them manly lesbians unfit for visual consumption.” (source mashable)
Them meaning the UK women’s weightlifting team featured in a BBC Documentary “Girl Power: Going for Gold”

Smith wasn’t happy… giving said tweeting dbags “2 fingers up” on her blog, and via her record setting performance at the Olympics 7/30. Here’s a snippit from the blog post:
“This may be shocking to you, but we actually would rather be attractive to people who aren’t closed-minded and ignorant. Crazy, eh?! We, as any women with an ounce of self-confidence would, prefer our men to be confident enough in themselves to not feel emasculated by the fact that we aren’t weak and feeble.

Why are people such haters? These are OLYMPIANS! They are athletic GODS! Be proud of what they’ve accomplished because guess what… they are most definitely proud and nothing you say is going to take that away from them.
So HERE HERE to little miss British weightlifting ALL STAR Olympian Zoe Smith!
