Spammers and bots are the funniest people-bots out there. I mean look at that tweet…. since when am I a mother of any one, or any thing for that matter?
I’ve noticed that spammers have gone turbo* lately; my gmail spam has been 5-6+ emails every morning. and on this blog too.
What’s the point? Do you really think I’m going to click on your bogus link? I just honestly don’t understand… and I’ve vented about this before. Spammers just don’t stop, and I’m not the only one venting about it either, so I know I’m not crazy.
I asked the two IT/web development guys at work and their main feedback was that these people may be:
1. bored out of their minds and just wanting to screw with people
2. trying to drive you back to their site to grab information from you/sell you something
3. bored out of their minds and just wanting to screw with people
I vote 1 and 3 more so than 2, and yes I know they’re the same.
I think it’s sad, and these people need help. They need something like the bad-anon (ymous) from Wreck-It Ralph; a support group, you know… for spammers.
