Cancer. So many organizations and initiatives and it seems like so little time.
Do as much as you can and help because you just don’t know what tomorrow will bring for you, your loved ones, or friends.
Take for example this great spin on the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life”, “BARK for Life”. I’m not just tooting this horn because my BFF Jamie thought of the idea, but because I helped get it together last year and the outpouring of people with their dogs was heart-warming and inspiring.
“The American Cancer Society Bark For LifeTM is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
By supporting Bark For Life, you help the American Cancer Society save lives, and that helps us move closer to our ultimate goal of a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
So bring your best canine friend and join us for a fun-filled day starting with a walk, and then continuing with demonstrations, contests, and games.”
If you don’t want to start your team, or can’t make it to Bark for Life, Jamie has her own team that’s raising money to fight for her birth mom’s current fight;
Team Janaboo.
To join the team go directly to www.main.acsevents.org/goto/teamjanaboo and click “join team” – register on the site and then if you can make an additional donation you can do so as well.

“Team Janaboo Barks For Life…
We do it for Jana McCoy, my birth mom, my Aunt Liz, Jim McCoy, our friend Jeanie, our friend’s moms who have passed over the years, and all of those affected by this awful disease.
Together we can TAKE A BITE out of cancer.”
