Two new drama series are lined-up for this Fall on ABC and here’s my FIRST LOOK on them! Let me know what you think, and if they’re your cup of tea after reading the reviews.
Once Upon a Time: “Welcome to a world where fairytales are real. Anna Swan is like any other 28 year old, until she discovers she’s a lost princess destined to save her world from darkness. Experience the passion project of
executive producers/creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (Lost,
Tron). Once Upon A Time is a thrilling twist of our most beloved
stories.” Read more>>
à la Suaz: Of course, I LOVE. Fairytales, why not? Lost (hopefully not AS lost as the producers’ previous drama ‘Lost‘) in the abyss of pure imagination. Doesn’t hurt that it stars my fav, Jennifer Morrison, House, amongst others. I feel like it might have another GLEE effect on viewers though. Where they’ll be uber excited to watch the series, but once it isn’t on a certain level of maturity they lose interest- I feel like this happens with most cross-demographic dramas.
Otherwise, I think the production is great, vivid scenes depict the classic underlying darkness that IS fairytales. While normally, the happy ending prevails, this perception seems like quite the twist…which I’m excited to watch play out and hoping the kind-of corny “Stonybrooke” plot doesn’t get in the way. 3 stars.

Charlie’s Angels: “Get ready for the knockout hit of the year. Charlie’s Angels is back and hotter than ever. Meet three ex-bad girls who are earning their wings by busting the really bad guys. Together with legendary producer
Leonard Goldberg and Drew Barrymore, Smallville’s Alfred Gough and
Miles Millar re-imagine the popular 1970’s series with more action,
more eye candy and more heart than ever before.” Read more>>
à la Suaz: Slightly cliche. Huge fan of Drew Barrymore, and how fitting that she’s producing the show- having stared in all the other Charlie’s Angels movies, BUT- I think I’m tired of the quite silly Bosley, the incognito Charlie and the three hot girls taking the city by storm, or by grace if-you-will.
What MAY keep it interesting is that they’re bringing back the SHOW, as opposed to another 1.5 hr movie.
Which means the adventures, pursuits, concealed identities, partying and more could potentially get exciting along the way. Action packed, PG-13 lovin’, hot girls, hot Bosely and the Townsend Agency on Ocean Drive; all the perfect mix for an average show that you hope America will love. eh, I’d give it 3 stars as well.
Hmm I have to look into Once Upon a Time …. That looks cute. maybe …
